In 2007 Presidential hopeful Barack Obama said, "[Riots] happen when a sense of disconnect settles in and hope dissipates. Despair takes hold and young people all across this country look at the way the world is and believe that things are never going to get any better."
It is highly unlikely that Obama understood how this statement – made in condemnation of the Bush administration’s handling of the Katrina disaster – would again be relevant under his tenure, alluding to a wholly different, much larger, more diverse and powerful demographic.
If there is anyone left out there who doesn’t grasp the reasons behind the mounting intensity of political conflict in America, let us be clear. It is based on a fundamental moral schism and has been reduced to purely economic terms: Who wants something for free, and who is going to pay for it.
Generally, support for Progressivism comes from the surly entitlement class, the angry “social victims” league and environmentalists whose ideal is a return to preindustrial primitivism. All of these have one economic similarity – they either cost money or keep us from making it.
Conservatives and libertarians generally believe in economic self-sufficiency; pragmatic social justice through moral restraint and objective law; and a rational balance between technological expansion and environmental sensitivity.
For the last century, the Left has gained broad political support by catering to those whose priorities put them at odds with economic reality; equality under law, social harmony and morality.
• Liberals have told them that that their ineptitude constitutes a valid claim on the lives of the capable.
• They have told them that their misanthropy constitutes a legal grounds for preventing others from using natural resources or their own property.
• They have told them the slavery of ancestors they never knew by long dead slavers establishes an economic claim on living members of the white race.
• They have told them that their minority numbers or the color of their skin, or their foreign culture establishes their moral superiority over the preexisting cultural and racial majority of their host country.
"A government which robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul." - George Bernard Shaw
The inherent flaw in this contrived political divide is that it creates an economically unsustainable dichotomy. It pits a manufactured dependent class against those who create the wealth, objective law and technology which support them. It creates a political demographic which literally bites the hand that feeds them. Ultimately, it pits the “society” against the individual.
Human nature being what it is – this paradox cannot be sustained for long. As government policies are enacted according to this foolishness, the rich use money and influence to exempt themselves from being cannibalized. The entitlement class and misanthropists only drain the economy. That leaves the middle class to bear the entire burden.
“The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the milestones of taxation and inflation.” – Vladimir Lenin
The burgeoning patriot movement is a wake-up call. The middle class, who have been largely silent and as a result underrepresented in this bizarre political shift, has awakened to the fact that they are the grist for the Socialist mill. And they aren’t going to stand for it anymore.
So when the hand that feeds gets tired of being bitten, the only logical response is to stop feeding. This whole political mechanism relies entirely on the willingness of the middle class to keep getting bitten.
• When we tire of being cursed for supporting those who despise us;
• When we reject the notion that our ability is the cause of others’ lack;
• When we no longer accept the doctrine that our skin color, cultural origins or language constitute a legal obligation to those unlike us;
• When we insist that protecting the environment cannot take priority over securing a prosperous life;
Then we will opt out.
Since we can survive and thrive without these parasites, and they cannot thrive without us, there is a good chance that things could get ugly. Specifically, those who have accepted the intellectual and bureaucratic violence of robbing, defaming and oppressing us through intermediaries, will likely resort to actual violence themselves. In such a case though, they will find that we are just as adept at self-defense as we are at making their surly dependency possible.
In the end, Conservatism holds all the cards. The real irony in this situation is that we are reasonable, compassionate and generous people. And as such, we are open to friendly persuasion. But having been bitten by the Left one too many times, we are also likely to reject any attempt to further coerce our generosity.
For the Leftist demographic to survive, each one of them must decide how to either join the ranks of the productive, the moral and the just, or if not – they must learn how to ingratiate themselves to those on whom they depend – because the gravy train has reached the end of the line.
Everything you say is true, with exception to
ReplyDelete"...middle class... has awakened .... And they aren’t going to stand for it anymore..."
Since our government is the enemy, and control our military, how can we go against "the Beast"?
Rande, If you dig a little deeper into my blog you will find several articles answering your question, like "Civil reistance -- when in the course of human events" most recently. Many of my articles identify solutions as well as problems. Check it out; and thanks for reading. Send your friends and family too.

PS: you can also read me at Examiner.com under "Habersham County Conservative Examiner"
Also, I might add there is a "Silent Majority" that usually refers to middle-class citizens that normally stay quiet & apolitical, but that is all changing.
ReplyDeleteHow long and How many bad reports before we learn the lesson - We need to form opposable non violent coalitions Using Obama's own words that can move policies for real... www.bailoutmainstreetnow.com this will take some hard work but people have to start by adding positive contributions so that we can effect real change
ReplyDeleteThe leisure class does not create wealth. Wealth is created by extracting the living labor of the working classes en masse and siphoning off the profit through "management," "interest," "dividends," etc. You really think you're producing wealth by tap-tapping away on your conservative keyboard? The people working in the factories and farms are creating the wealth, you're the ones living off it.
ReplyDeleteAnd you better damn well be ready when we reach out with our strong hands and take it back, reclaiming the property that is rightfully ours by any measure.
Dear Anonymous;
ReplyDeleteIf you comprehended what you read in my article, you would have noticed that the "leisure class" as you call them are mostly government agents.
They are stealing from the producers at all levels while contributing nothing to the economy except the idiotic Leftist rhetoric you are spewing as justification for your own envy and avarice.
Outside of government, everyone -- from the street sweeper to the corporate CEO -- recieves their earnings based on voluntary exchanges.
Only the state can get away with the use of force. Government redistribution is theft. Those who recieve government benefits are thieves by proxy, deserving the same consequences as actual theives. The only difference is they don't even have the balls to take it themselves.
So, when you come to take "what is rightfully yours" you will find that we of the "leisure class" (who created the opportunities for you to voluntarily work in our businesses for a fair market wage) are also well armed and perfectly willing to waste your looting ass. But you won't risk that because Leftists are notorious cowards.
So, next time you start running that tired routine about the oppression of the little guy at the hands of the "leisure class," look in the mirror Buckwheat, and ask yourself what YOU have done to increase your wealth.
Have a nice day.
It's almost impossible to find anyone that will admit voting for Obama. The bottom line is that the 'system' works somewhat, i.e. Obama was elected...it's just that the voters never had their choice of candidates
ReplyDeleteJust to interject a couple of my sense here, what we need is a simpleton's way of thinking. I mean if all of the different types of classes as we are called, would actually come out in the public and speak their peace, then we would not be "as a nation" in this predicament.
ReplyDeleteThe leftist got their president, and then got what they wanted;" more power, more money and MORE GOVERNMENT". Now I for one DO NOT! want more government, I want far less.
Now the leftist's leader say's he want's to pay my student loans. I would prefer to tell him to stuff it in his pipe and smoke it "literally" because I made this debt and I now have a better career for my debt and I am willing to take pride in my effort's to repay it. I do not need to be a burdon on the American public and ask them to repay it for me, surely there is a large populous that would gladly do this. But to all of those Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barbera Feinstein's or West Coast Socialist's out there I got two word's for ya "(&%#) YOU!!!!
Real working class American's DO NOT need or want you, you are a waste of oxygen and time, I am pretty sure that if your parent's and ancestor's were alive, they would even shun you. Your a pothetic excuse for the human existence.
Thank You for giving me the opportunity.
Oh! by the way Alan Colmes needs to go down!
