In 1849, Henry David Thoreau wrote: “How does it become a man to behave toward this American government to-day? I answer, that he cannot without disgrace be associated with it.” At the time he was incensed over the Mexican-American War and the ongoing crime of slavery. Since then, those willing to disgrace themselves and the nation have persisted. They have assembled a vast body of laws lacking both Constitutional authority and the consent of the governed; imposing such obligations and restrictions on the people as to extinguish all but the hope for liberty, prosperity and peace.
"A government official is a man who has risen from obscurity to something worse." - Pat Robertson
While we may have abolished the overt slavery of our past, we have traded it for a more subtle, but just as inhumane system of universal wage-slavery. Bankers and politicians are now the slave owners; bureaucrats are the house slaves and tax collectors and police are the crackers, or slave bosses. The rest of us endure a system of perpetual involuntary servitude – with SUV’s and HDTV’s to mollify the indignation we should rightly feel. And yes, they still pursue an arrogant policy of global military interventionism just as in Thoreau’s time.
The taxpayer - that's someone who works for the federal government but doesn't have to take the civil service examination. – Ronald Reagan
Generations of Congressmen, Judges and Presidents have augmented or at least tolerated America’s subjugation, hiding behind the barren rhetoric of “liberty and justice for all.” They have spurned the Constitution, violated their oaths of office and desecrated the American Ideal – while we grovel at their feet; devoted chattel begging for scraps from their expropriated loot. The once noble people who deserved the vaunted label, “American,” are reduced to serfdom in the land our forefathers fought to liberate.
The thugs of European Socialism walk unchallenged in our sacred halls of government, brazenly gutting our incomparable economic and political system with their feudal creed. Our national legislature squanders its powers fighting over the spoils of legalized looting. Our national courts are paralyzed by political polarization and Collectivist contradictions. Our noble military is squandered on fool’s errands, “peace-keeping” and “nation-building.” Under the Great Seal of the President of the United States, sits a would-be Caesar – an avowed Collectivist, an apologist for radical Islam; a hater of America, her religion, her principles, her liberties and her people.
"Whenever legislators endeavor to take away and destroy the property of the people, or to reduce them to slavery under arbitrary power, they put themselves into a state of war with the people, who are thereupon absolved from any further obedience." -- John Locke, 1690
The wolves of rebellion are at the door. The dissonant chorus of anger, frustration and righteous rage ring throughout the land. Random acts of crazed domestic terrorism are on the rise. Our people strain against the yoke of slavery and oppression and rail against the brazen ascendency of Socialism. The tinder is dry, the powder stoked. An explosion is imminent.
The time for cool heads is waning. Reason is threatened; barbarism emboldened. The window of opportunity for sober deliberation and decisive, prudent reform is almost past. It is now that people of good will, moral clarity and righteous motives must step forward to shepherd us through this time of imminent peril.
Look not to the current heads of state, for they are the collaborators who have brought us to the brink of destruction. Rather, listen to the voices of reason wherever they may be. Rally ‘round their cause; give aid to their purpose; put boots on the ground and backs to the task of cleansing the filth that has sullied our sacred halls of government. An uprising can be managed without turning to bloodshed, but it relies on the consensual values which generations of agitators have attempted to corrupt; to divide us against one another.
"It is not the function of our government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the government from falling into error." - Justice Robert H. Jackson
The time to wait for others to defend our homeland has passed. Each of us must take part in the task. The official sham of feigned tinkering with the engine of state must be eschewed for the urgent need of complete overhaul. For now, only revolution can provide the genuine restoration of the American Covenant. The banking/corporate/political cabal that has reduced us under absolute despotism can only be expunged through absolute rebellion. We must each implore the Hand of Providence and dedicate “our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor” to restore our God given Rights and our national dignity. Only then can America once again be rightly called the land of the free and the home of the brave.
"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it." – Thomas Paine
A coordinated strategy must be adopted, employing incremental degrees of civil resistance; each escalation being either encouraged or appeased by the responses of our servant government.
1. Attend Tax protests on April 15, 2010 – The oligarchy and their smarmy panderers in the mainstream media are waiting to see if the passion and discipline of recent uprisings will hold. They know that economic oppression is a powerful tranquilizer. Deny them their hope, find a Tea Party Protest near you and attend. Large numbers cannot be ignored; small numbers will be the fodder for the sneering condescension of government apologists. Deny them grounds for their vanity and arrogance.
2. March on Washington on September 12, 2010 – A gathering is forming, to repeat with greater numbers the march on Washington in 2009 (which exceeded a million patriots). Our intent must be clear, our resolve assured, and our power manifest. We must demand systemic, sweeping reform through strict obedience to the most limited interpretation the Constitution. Putting “boots on the ground” is one of the best tools of propaganda and demonstrable resolve we have. Join us at the Capitol to bring the government to heel.
3. Vote out all incumbents in November – regardless of party affiliation, voting record or virtue. The damage was done on their watch so they are responsible and must be replaced on principle. Even those we consider rational dedicated and honorable have still failed either by ineptitude or negligence to secure our liberties. That is their ONLY job, and if they can’t or won’t do it, they and all who follow must know they will be replaced without hesitation. But changing faces will not be enough. Each new candidate must be sent to Washington with a decisive and urgent mandate to enact sweeping, systemic and ideological change.
4. Demand strict Constitutional obedience from new representatives – The Articles of Freedom drafted by the 2009 Continental Congress details the most grievous constitutional violations which, if sworn to remedy, would set any candidate apart from those who now populate Capitol Hill.
5. Demand judicial clarification and legal process for the “accountability” clause – The First Amendment states that “Congress shall make no law...prohibiting the...right of the people...to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” While some clauses of the First Amendment have been thoroughly defined, the “redress of grievances” clause; sometimes called the “accountability clause,” has enjoyed little public attention and no judicial review.
The founding fathers demonstrated the importance with which they valued the accountability of government to the people in an act of the Continental Congress in 1774, which said, "If money is wanted by Rulers who have in any manner oppressed the People, [the People] may retain [their money] until their grievances are redressed, and thus peaceably procure relief, without trusting to despised petitions or disturbing the public tranquility." (Emphasis added)
For the accountability clause to be employed two things must happen. The Legislature must devise the method by which this power can be legally exercised; and the Supreme Court must provide an interpretation of the clause. The legal mechanism and the judicial interpretation are both very sensitive issues. If the power is too restricted, the clause will be moot; if it is too broad it can paralyze the state.
The best way to exercise the accountability clause is to empower Grand Juries to act on citizen complaints and pass down presentments. The Fifth Amendment grants this power, but, like the accountability clause, it is ignored. The Fifth Amendment states: “No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury.” (Emphasis added)
A presentment is an indictment presented by the Grand Jury that results from its independent investigation or findings. The presentment is the power of the Grand Jury to hold government accountable on behalf of the people. Grand Juries must be empowered to hand down presentments which impose legal demands for government officials to answer charges of misconduct initiated by citizens.
This mechanism will place in the hands of citizens a practical and potent power to hold government accountable in public court; and empower the courts to rule on and provide redress of grievances against the state or its officers. It will end the days of preferential treatment for public officials who spurn the law with impunity.
6. Watch the new Legislature carefully – It is in the interest of the nation that we give a new legislature the chance to prove itself. They can do so by a radical, systematic deconstruction of the redistributive apparatus, the Police State, and the global interventionism as they now manifest. If they attack these problems in a substantive and diligent manner, our ongoing critique may be enough to create momentum for genuine reform. If not, further public action may be required. The next levels of escalation to restrain the banking/corporate/media/political cabal follow:
Starve the beast – In the event that suitable reform is not enacted, more severe measures must be employed to convince Washington that we mean business. The power of massive action is both persuasive and substantially disruptive of the mechanisms of oppression. Those mechanisms include collaboration between banking, corporate and political collusion, taxation, law enforcement and the media. Denying these entities the funding they require will provide the blow necessary to force real change. We must enlighten the government of the very real fact that we can survive without them, but they cannot without us.
Should these measures prove ineffective, it will demonstrate before a candid world that our government is no longer our own; that its defiance invalidates its moral authority and demands more persuasive methods. While we all naturally spurn the unnecessary escalation of the conflict, further non-violent measures may be required in order to cripple the mechanisms by which the oligarchy sustains its tyranny. Those include:
1. Stop paying credit card debt, auto loans and mortgages – The entire power structure in America today is based upon an unholy alliance between banking and politics; embodied in the Federal Reserve System and the spendthrift habits of the federal legislature. Since the banking community is an active co-conspirator in this oppression, any contracts we may have with individual members of that cabal are nullified by their willing participation in and unconstitutional and immoral cabal.
Once subjected to an immediate, massive loss of revenues, the banking industry would turn their substantial lobbying power to the task of encouraging compliance from their partners in government. Large numbers of defaults would also overwhelm the corporate/state partnership in enforcing contracts through foreclosure, property seizures and court actions. Local governments could be persuaded to accept that refraining from providing law enforcement officers to seize property would be in their own best interest.
2. Demand that employers stop payroll deductions – For once in over half a century, American workers can employ collective bargaining for a truly noble cause by refusing to work unless employers agree to stop participating in looting their property. When the flow of income taxes; and Social Security and Medicare contributions stop, the tourniquet of public resistance will inspire a new degree of conciliation from the people whose power relies on our compliance. Emptying bank accounts and operating on a cash and barter basis will prevent seizures and substantially reduce the supply of sales tax revenues as well.
3. Stop paying taxes and fees – Refusal to pay income taxes, property taxes, automobile registrations, driver’s license renewal fees, business licensing fees, and the plethora of taxes and fees charged by government will financially cripple the state. Once they are convinced that there are too many violators to successfully prosecute, they will be more willing to comply with our demands.
Before we consider more extreme measures, let’s see how successful these are. But we must move forward with the absolute conviction that our will shall be obeyed. And to communicate in the art of intimidation-diplomacy employed by posturing heads of state, by declaring that: “All options are on the table,” should they fail to comply.
The government and the world must know that none of the measures would be necessary if our servants would only obey their oaths of office. Their hubris and treachery have compelled this response. Only their swift capitulation to the limits of the Constitution, the substantive response to our grievances will quell our outrage. Only their surrender to the will of their masters will avert the chaos and calamity that will surely erupt from the mounting frustration they have precipitated.
The government must quake before the awesome might of its people. It’s officers at all levels must be convinced with absolute certainty that the people will hold them accountable by whatever measures we deem necessary to bring the state back into Constitutional obedience and subservience to public will.
God Bless America and God save those who seek to subvert her virtues, for no honorable man will defend them in the face of certain, righteous retribution.
